The fair takes place on the High Street in the small northern town of Yarm and dates back to 1674 when a charter was issued by Charles II for the October Fair.
With support from the Gypsy, Romany, Traveller group and the Showman's Guild the fair has plenty to offer. Bow top wagons, fortune tellers, Gypsy horses and an enormous fun fair with dodgems, a big wheel, waltzers, T cups and hook the duck, there is plenty for everyone.
